1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Email address (required for account creation, or provided via Google Sign-In)
• Display name (optional, or provided via Google Sign-In)
• Password (securely hashed, never stored in plain text) — for email/password accounts only

1.2 Payment Information

We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. Stripe may collect payment information in accordance with their privacy policy.

1.3 Subscription Data

We store information about your subscription status (plan type, status, expiry date) to provide access to premium features.

1.4 Browser Extension Data

The FocusView browser extension stores the following data locally on your device:

• Feature preferences (which features are enabled/disabled)
• Usage mode settings
• Timer and session tracking data
• Authentication tokens (encrypted)
• PIN lock data (stored as a SHA-256 hash, never in plain text)
• Scheduled access settings
• Theme preference

This data is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers except for authentication tokens used to verify premium status.

1.5 Data We Do Not Collect

The browser extension does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Browsing history or URLs you visit
• User activity such as clicks, scrolling, or keystrokes
• Website content (the extension modifies YouTube page elements locally but does not collect or transmit page content)
• Location data
• Personal communications

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Verify premium feature access
• Send transactional emails (order confirmations, account updates)
• Provide customer support

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We use the following third-party services to operate FocusView:

• Google: Account authentication via Google Sign-In
• Supabase: Authentication and database infrastructure
• Stripe: Payment processing
• Email service provider: Transactional emails (e.g., account confirmations)

These services only receive the minimum information necessary to perform their function.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies only for:

• Session management and authentication
• Keeping you logged in

We do not use marketing cookies or third-party tracking.

We implement appropriate security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
• Secure password hashing
• Row-level security for database access
• Secure token storage in the browser extension

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or business purposes.
